DEADLINE TO BE LISTED IN BOOK 2010
It's almost that time of the year again. For those of you whose membership terminates in October and for former members thinking about a renewal please remeber October 15th is renewal deadline
We do want you to be aware that the impending HomeLink Book 1 deadline represents a very important opportunity for any 2010 holiday thoughts you may be having.
What's so important about Book 1? European HomeLink members historically have tended to begin planning their summer holidays during their winter. Post-Christmas, shivering Europeans begin dreaming of warmer weather, and eagerly watch the post for the arrival of the latest HomeLink Book. That's why HomeLink International has always released Book 1 in December.
So, if you would like a European exchange in 2010, it makes great sense to ensure that your listing will appear in Book 1. To do so, you must subscribe before October 15th 2009.

OUR SPANISH ORGANISER GETS FIRST HAND EXPERIENCES OF EXCHANGES IN TURKEY
Your HomeLink Organisers are active exchangers too. Yes, HomeLink really is a true, global community of active home exchange enthusiasts. And here's just a little more evidence to show how HomeLink's local Organisers really do enjoy the benefits of leading by example.
Recently, our friend and colleague Gerry Gomez from Spain took his family on a wonderful holiday in Turkey. They all greatly enjoyed the pleasure of relaxing, and exploring, in this exotic and increasingly popular destination. This was prompted by a Hospitality Exchange generously offered by our colleague in Turkey plus an NSX with a Turkish member. Gerry reports it as the holiday of a lifetime. He is looking forward to welcoming the Turkish Member to his home in Barcelona shortly.
HomeLink Office interests in Turkey are managed by our Organiser Samim Er. John & I met Samim a while ago and he is a delightful person who is doing great things for HomeLink Turkey. Turkey is one of our newer HomeLink countries with a rapidly expanding membership of 56.
NEW SEARCH FEATURES
We are always trying to makes things easier for our Members. With many of our members doing multiple exchanges when in Europe, we are about to launch a new 'Multiple dates and destinations search' to our already comprehensive system. Should make things a whole lot easier.
3 IMPORTANT ITEMS
1. If you change your email address during your HomeLink Membership you must change it on 'Edit my listing' or contact us and we will do it for you. If you don't other members will not be able to contact you.
2. Please do not remove X (straight exchange) from your listing, even if you prefer NSX.. You will not show up on a 'search' if you do this.
3. Far too many NZ members still have low response rates which saddens us. Please just have a look at your listing (Show my listing) and check your percentage. If you have missed any messages you can correct this on 'Messaging' If in doubt about what to do please ask us.
